Life lessons from a 3 year old

Nathan is 3 years old.  And yet this kid, this little three years old kid, can teach the world so much more than the world could ever realize.  Kids really are so smart and they know so much more than people give them credit for.  People tend to over look them because they're so young and because they don't word their phrases the way adults do (which is good.  It'd be weird if he spoke like adults do).

Here's some of my favorite things he's said.

------------------

(about what he wants for Christmas this year) - "I just want my teeth back.  And a job."

------------------

me: Candis I love youuu

*Candis smiles*

Nathan: Sometimes a smile is "I love you back."

------------------

"I like Nikki's better. There's more colors and colors make people happy a lot."

------------------

(talking about Connie Talbot, after hearing the "Rainbow Bear" sing Connie's song.  There is a picture of Connie on the tag, and he was looking at it.) - "This girl sings it? She's six years old when she sings it?  Cameron's seven and he was six like her.  She sings it really good... She practiced.  Right, Kimberly?  Because when you practice, you're good."

------------------

"I fell down the stairs once when I was two, but now I'm good at walking down them.  I cried."

------------------

(singing "Ring Around The Rosie) - "Ring around the rosie, pocket full (*stops*) I don't like those words. I'm gonna skip them, ok?"

------------------

"I'm not mad.  I turned into the Hulk when I was playing, and I had to change back."

------------------

and last, but not least... I think this is probably my favorite thing he's ever said.  We were just being silly, and all of the sudden he got really serious.  After saying what he had to say, he went right back to being silly.

me: I love my Nathannnn.

Nathan: I love my Kimberlyyy.

me: I love my Nathannn.

Nathan: I'm always gonna make you smile all of the time (*stops to think*) even if you're sad because (*stops to think*) because you're my Kimberly and I love you.  Ok?  I love my Kimberlyyyy.

------------------

Sooo yeah.  Sometimes he says just silly things, but you can actually take a lot from them.  And then, with other things he says.......
