It's been a while, I know.

So what to say........... It's been forever and a day and a half since I last posted anything here.  Yeah.

Um... Oh! Grades were FINALLY posted.  I did WAY better than I did in the fall.

4.0 in School Health
4.0 in Math for Elementary Ed. 1
3.7 in Young Adult Lit
3.7 in Children's Lit
3.0 in European History and Geography
S in Cooperative Activities (the gym class I took).  S is good, in case you were wondering.  In gym classes, you don't get an actual grade; you either get Satisfactory (pass) or Unsatisfactory (fail).  So I passed it.

3.65 GPA for the semester, which is REALLY good!  And 3.34 overall, which isn't too bad, but I'll get it up higher because I'll do good in my classes next semester too.

So yeah.  Home for the summer.  Not so sure how I feel about this.  I don't want to argue with my mom the whole summer, and I'm trying so hard not to argue with anyone about anything.  I hate fighting and arguing.  So I'm trying to avoid it.  But avoiding it kind of means avoiding those people.  So I haven't really spent much time with my mom or sister.  I mostly just stay in the room that's currently mine while I'm at home (the "guest room") and play Sims2 all the time when other people are home.  When I'm the only one home, I chill out in the living room with the cat.  There's nothing on TV during the day.  Did you guys know that?  I'm assuming you do.  But yeah.  Literally nothing.

Best part about being home?  Hanging out with Christina and Caitlin again.  I miss them so much while I'm away at school, and I hate that.  So I like being home so I can hang out with them.

But speaking of missing people, I already miss Luke and Anna sooo much.  They're my best friends up at school.  And I miss Sophie and Ben.  And the people in LGBTAA.  And the cakes from Cookies & Cream.  Well... cakes aren't people.  Obviously.  But I still miss them.

Eight Months Later

Eight months ago today, I was diagnosed as autistic.  And some days I feel like I’m still processing that diagnosis.  It’s something that, for so long, I had thought/suspected about myself and I thought, because I’d thought it for so long, that that knowing wouldn’t change anything.  And in some ways, most ways, nothing in my life has changed except that   I   know now and so do other people.  I mean, I’d started accommodating myself before that diagnosis – I got a weighted blanket for when I was experiencing anxiety or restlessness or just couldn’t sleep; I bought Loop earplugs to help with noise and started wearing them to things like concerts or hockey games or even the plays that we go to; I keep fidget toys at my desk at work; hell I even started keeping my hair short so it wouldn’t be   touching  me because I hate that sensory experience so much – so in my head, I thought it would be the same, I’d just be more knowledgeable about myself....

The Next President...

I didn't sleep last night; I was too afraid that America was going to make the worst possible decision.  And we did.  Somehow, Donald Trump became the president-elect.  Somehow, enough people actually voted for him.  Somehow, people support his racism , sexism , homophobia , Islamophobia .  Somehow, people were able to look past not only the fact that he has virtually no political experience and was the least qualified candidate for the job, but they were also able to look past the way he treats women and the fact that he's sexually assaulted multiple women.  (Wondering why it takes people so long to come forward about abuse?  Because we live in a country where their assailant can become leader of the free world.) A Trump presidency scares me so much.
