School
Well, I'll be back up at school in 6 days! And then classes start up on Monday the 21st!
Honestly, this break wasn't really that bad. I mean, I was bored as heck... but aside from that, it wasn't too bad. Christmas was great. I got to see a couple of my friends. I read a few books. I spent a lotttttt of time cuddling with my cat...
I can't wait to be back up at school. I don't feel like I fit in here, but there I do. I have some really great friends there who I love to pieces, and I miss like crazy. I can't wait to see everyone up there again. To have movie nights. To have our Family Dinners. To go to club meetings. To just hang out.
So! Classes. My Monday's really aren't that bad. Except that I have a gym class at 8:30 in the morning. Ew, right? Yeah. Then Spanish 3, which I'm a bit nervous about. I haven't taken a Spanish class since my first semester of my freshman year of college. That was, well, a few years ago. In the past when I've taken a language (Spanish from 7th grade to 10th grade, French my junior and senior year of high school, then Spanish again first semester freshman year of college) I've picked it up really quickly, so I'm hoping that'll be the case this year as well. Thankfully, after this semester I'm done with language. But anyways. I've got a little more than an hour between my Spanish class and my last class of the day - Teaching Students with Special Needs. Then I'm done with class for the day and it's only 2:40 in the afternoon, which leaves me plenty of time to read, hang out with people (if I can find people who aren't in class), play sims, or even do homework.
My Wednesdays are the same the same as Mondays, but my Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to suck. My blocks classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays (I just wrote Tuersday... Some sort of weird couple name for Tuesday and Thursday? Oh dear goodness, if anyone from tumblr is reading this, please do NOT start shipping days of the week. Shipping planets was strange enough.) But anyways, like I said, my blocks classes are Tuesday/Thursdays, and I'm in class literally all day from 7:30 in the morning until 4:20 in the afternoon, with about an hour break in the middle for lunch. Yuck. Worth it though because someday I'll be a teacher, and hopefully a really good one at that.
Then Fridays. I only have one class on Fridays, which I'm REALLY happy about. It's my Spanish class... but still, it's only one class. Which means my weekends can start on Friday at noon.
I'm really looking forward to my Teaching Students with Special Needs class. I don't know if I've said on here before or not (I think I have, but I could be wrong), but that is something that I think I might be interested in. I'm majoring in Childhood/Early Childhood Education, but I've thought about majoring (minoring?) in Special Education. I want to take this class though, and see if that really is something I'd be interested in doing. It'd make potential employers look twice at me, and set me above anyone who didn't do Special Ed as well...
Oh my gosh I just can't wait to be back up there.
Also, on a completely random note -- I watched Pitch Perfect for the first time tonight, and it was REALLY good!!! Watch it, if you haven't. :)
